Light of Lamp Collection
A very unique collectible that you would witness apart from art is the collection of a wide
range of metal lamps.
The state of Kerala excels in the art of metal lamp making. Every temple in Kerala has different
styles of lamps of all sizes. These are made of either bronze or brass by a traditional process
of making a template using the "clay wax process" then firing by using firewood in the casting
technique.
Some of the brass lamps like Samai and hanging brass lamps in this collection are more than two
centuries old.
